I was surprised to see how charging more impacted my mental outlook and made me much more excited in my work. I love teaching dance and I always go above and beyond for my students. Still, all the extra work I do can feel draining. For example, after the lesson is over, answering extra questions used to feel stressful. Whereas now, if my student has an extra question or two, instead of feeling put out that the time is over and I'm still going, I'm excited to give them that extra time because I feel like I'm so well paid for everything else.

Andrew showed me a unique way to grow my dance business, making me more financially secure. I was always worried that in order to grow my business, I would have to be salesy and pressure my students into buying from me. I don't like that being done to me so I never want to do that to my students. Within our first session, Andrew showed me how I didn't have to be salesy to grow my business. In fact, I learned I could be even more student-focused than I already was.
 
I also didn't think in a million years I could charge much more and have people interested in paying it. Against my initial skepticism, I took his advice and almost doubled my class prices. Within just a few days, I already had a new student reach out excited about the classes and specifically mentioned the price as if it was a great deal. Go figure! Plus, I can always offer a discount if I feel that price is keeping someone from taking my classes, so I can still help those who are financially in need.

I got much more than I expected...this was so packed with good, prepared presentations, and of a good time length overall, so it is hard for me to see how you could fit in more.

I used Andrew's 5-minute evaluation almost immediately after the workshop. I will want to practice and keep that. Ted's comments to me and others are really helpful tune-ups, and with what you've done here it prompts me to go look at the other breakouts.

1. the way you can improve communication with students by taking into account their personal needs,
